Students in Grades 6th - 8th are eligible to participate in the National Catholic Academic Junior High Decathlon.  The El Paso Diocese began participating in this competition, with Most Holy Trinity School hosting the first regional event, in March 2023.

 

This is a national event that strives to cultivate and celebrate academic talents, collaboration, and organization in the context of a spirit-filled competition.

 

The decathlon consists of ten events:

 

In the first year, March 2023, Most Holy Trinity fielded one team and finished First Overall, First in Logic, and First in Super Quiz in the region.  We also had four students claim the top spot in their chosen individual test. 

 

In March 2024, Most Holy Trinity fielded THREE Complete Teams with ten students each!  The students brought home a Third Place Overall, Second and Third Place in Logic, and Third Place in Super Quiz.  In the individual events, the students earned FIVE First Place Medals, FIVE Second Place Medals, and  THREE Third Place Medals.
