We knew it would be different.
I have been offering prayer every morning at 8 AM on Facebook for all of us. We have placed pictures of all our classes next to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Every day when I offer prayer I ask God and Our Lady to watch over us, to keep us in her loving care.
Our teachers are planning and learning as they go. For most of us online instruction is a new experience. We came together twice during spring break to discuss lesson delivery and share possible sites for instructional support and conferencing with students. It was supposed to be time off but no one complained. We gave our time and effort for our children. Since we “returned” we have been meeting once a week to discuss what is working and how to enhance what we are doing. Through all of this we are learning and understanding that with a little practice we are equal to the challenge that we are facing. We will persevere for as long as it takes to provide the best learning experience for your child.
Thank you for helping your children with their work. We know that you also are learning as you go. The teachers and I have discussed the need to be patient, to be there for you; I ask that you be patient with us also. All of us, administration, teachers and parents, need to work together to give our children the best educational experience possible. If you need assistance reach out to us. We want your children to do their very best; once this crisis is over, they will need to be ready to move on.
Thank you for your support of our children and school. Be safe and be strong in your faith, for yourselves and your children!
